The James Reeder Post #770 Atwood American Legion Auxiliary collects items for the Danville Veterans Facility. A collection box for needed items is available at the library. A few needs are laundry soap, dryer sheets, individual kleenex, razors, shaving cream, deodorant, denture cleaner, body lotion, body wash, toothbrushes, wallets, lip balm, sun screen, hand sanitizers, wet wipes, sugar free candy, bit size candy bars, duffle bags, hand made hats, scarf, gloves, handmade dishcloths, scrubbies, bathmats, blankets, prayer shawls, pillow cases, coloring books and crayons, and many other items. A complete list is available inside the library. All donations are greatly appreciated by the Auxiliary and the Veterans.
